Children experience the magic of live musical theater, as they work towards a June production of an American Theater classic. Children will work in small groups as well as full-stage ensemble with theater professionals skilled in character and scene study, dance and choreography, vocal direction, and other stagecraft skills. This year’s production is The Pajama Game, performances will be June 10-12, 2010.
This exciting class offers training in a centuries-old Olympic sport in a safe, creative environment. Certified instructors teach the basics of footwork, blade work, rules, and strategy, inspiring an appreciation of teamwork and sportsmanship as they challenge their students to learn to use their minds and bodies in creative and effective ways through games and exercises. New Amsterdam fencing teachers compete nationally and have coached children in NYC public and private schools since 1997.
